Welcome to Legg Ranch House. This remodeled home is a beautiful and relaxing place to stay while visiting Cody/Yellowstone. Walk in to an open living/dining area with spectacular mountain views. The large kitchen allows plenty of room for cooking meals anytime of day. Down the hall you will find a large master bedroom with an attached bath. The master bath has a double vanity and walk-in tile shower. The second bedroom is located across the hall from the second full bath which also has a dual vanity and walk-in tile shower. There is a washer and dryer located in the basement of the property. Outside you can sit on the back patio and enjoy the sounds of nature. About 24 miles from the town of Cody and approximately 30 miles from the East Gate of Yellowstone National Park. Located in the Wapiti valley with views of mountains and close to the Shoshone River this is a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. * Have a larger group check out Legg Ranch Bunkhouse located next door and rent out both.* *This property does not have Central AC Accommodations: Bedroom 1: Queen Bed Bedroom 2: Queen Bed Bathroom 1 & 2: Walk-in shower *No central AC evenings cool to the 50s best to open windows at night and close during the day. *Pets not allowed at this property as there is livestock on/next to the property.

My wife and I stayed at the Legg Ranch House for five nights in mid-May and had a great time. Exactly as pictured with no surprises. The owner (who lives and works on the property) stopped by to introduce himself on the first morning and made himself available if we needed anything, but we were all set and had no issues. Some of the other ranch buildings are close by in the back, but the front and side views are beautiful. We loved seeing all of the deer walking around munching on the grass. Yellowstone's East entrance is about a 45 minute drive through unexpectedly beautiful landscape. Using the East entrance takes a little longer to get to the biggest attractions in Yellowstone, but there's plenty to take in and no shortage of bison and elk sightings. We also watched a grizzly having a grub lunch near the entrance. Cody is about 30 minutes to the east of the ranch and worth a visit. We were so glad we planned several hours to visit the Buffalo Bill Center of the West museums as it gave us an informative and well-rounded experience regarding the people, history, and wildlife in this part of the country.
